auto-summary

We have approximately 250 routers across the USA, and all these

routers were configured with no auto-summary (disabled). My question is,

what could cause the auto-summary to be enabled without someone manually enabling auto-summary.

Auto-summary is on by default (EIGRP for example) so if you setup a router from scratch and did not input "no auto-summary" into your EIGRP process it would be enabled.
