AUX port async dial security

Im working on a config for aux port async dial to backup a primary frame relay link (only using async do the non avalability of ISDN). Im planning on using the backup interface command against my frame realy sub interface. upon specifing the async interface as the backup interface, the async interface will be more or less shut down until protocol is lost on the primary link. Then the backup link will taken out of an addministrative shut down state.

Does anyone know if the interface is truely in shut-down, or a spoofing type of state? My goal is to avoid dialin attempts?

The async interface will be in "stand by" mode which means waiting to be active (close to shutdown mode)..If you avoid dialin on that line and only want to dialout on that line, use "modem dtr-active" under the line command..
