Backup failed ...

Hello,

I have a problem, like usual ;)

want to do a backup

Server COnfiguration

---Administration

------Database Management

----------Back up data now

I choose the folder but I obtain this messge :

"""

Backup to 'c:\rme\bkps' started at: 2003/03/14 09:16:46

ERROR(839): Fatal error: File C:\PROGRA~1\CSCOpx\databases\dfmfh\dfmfh.db does not exist.

Backup failed: 2003/03/14 09:16:47

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"""

The folder exists but I have no dfmfh.db file.

What is the problem and, more important, he solution.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Backup failed ...

dfmfh.db is the DFM Fault History database. Is Fault History also installed?

Re: Backup failed ...

Hello !!

Thanks for answering, yes, Fault History is installed :

"""Fault History Application 1.1 3-14-2003 10:09:35 ENABLED """

But I don't know the reason of the backup's failure...

Re: Backup failed ...

at the risk of my inexperience showing too much ...

Could your problem be that the space between Program and Files in "c:/Program Files" is causing the problem?

Re: Backup failed ...

Hello,

Yes, It seems the cause of the problem is the space between Program and Files in "c:/Program Files..."

I can't obviously rename this folder so what can I do ?

Re: Backup failed ...

In the short term I would backup to a different location that has a unix compatible path.

In the long term, this sounds like an undocumented feature that TAC may need to look at.
