Hi,

Before trying to backup falsh to tftp,

* Check tftp server reachability by *ping *

* Check the default gateway [ only ifyou have ] whether it's reachable by *ping . or trace .

For the detail info. please refer

tftp service does it works,course I can download or upload config to router but I cannot backup the ios with copy flash tft or copy disk:0 tft...and show flash isn't successful.

maybe router boot from pcmcia card,not flash?

(cisco7200vxr)

Hi,

you can backup your IOS image from flash or pcmcia card [ ie. slot0/slot1 ].

As the show flash doesn't show anything , To backup from pcmcia card

try *copy slot0: tftp: or copy slot1: tftp:

Tried in 7200 device the same thing is working.

Attaching the output for backing up the IOS

* from slot0: to tftp

* from flash: to tftp

1. copy slot0: tftp: output
