I have one Cisco3640A router installed with one Eathernet module, 4 port Serial and 8 port ISDN. Every thing is working fine even the ISDN Backup line on automatically after 2 secs. Now a days there is some problems in the Lease line (Frame Relay) that in the morning it starts dropping packet and in the after noon it will get normal. So I need to configure the Serial interface that if the line is dropping by 40% it shifts to backup interface which is ISDN BRI.
I think you need to use ppp encapsulation on your link then use the ppp quality % command. It uses ppp features to track the quality of the link and takes it down if it goes below the configured value.
This is frame relay i am talking about and the backup interface is ISDN. So i want to configure on frame relay that if the line starts dropping or getting slow it autopmaticaly shifts to ISDN. I know that is some onfiguration for that but i forgot it. So if any body will me for that??
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
