Hello!
I have an E3 (34 Mb) with 2 DLCI, so I am going to define 2 subinterfaces.
Can one interface be the backup of the other?
How can I do this? With the "backup interface" command?
Is there any other solution for this backup problem?
Thanks for your help.

It should work whith the "backup interface" command.
Or you can play with the routing protocol you ave on your network by forcing it to choose one of the interfaces. The idea is to set "bandwidth 1" or "metric xxxxx" with a very high value on the backup interface.
Of course you have to configure this on both sides.

you can setup a 30 bit address on both of these interfaces and make sire EIGRP is setup for no auto-summary. Setup load balancing and when one DLCI goes down then the other one will be ready anyway! If for some reason you would really rather not have the other DLCI interface active, you can try using PPP over frame relay and setup administrative distance using static routes...
