3 -rw- 9801676 Sep 30 2005 09:28:26 +01:00 c6slb-csms-k9y9.2-1-1.bin

128055296 bytes total (38125568 bytes free)

copy disk0:s72033-entservicesk9_wan-mz.122-18.SXE2.bin tftp

That should do it but it does sound like this is what you have tried.

Where are you tftp'ing to and what type of tftp server is it.

Re: Backup the IOS

Hi john,

thanx for your reply. Actually the error is, when i try with copy disk0:IOSname tftp: it is copying the file upto 33553920bytes after that it is showing the error

"%Error writing tftp://172.19.X.X/IOSname.bin ....."

I checked the space availability and tftp settings. but nothing helped me.

Re: Backup the IOS

Okay, this could be the tftp server you are using as some do have problems with large files.

I use tftpd32 and it works fine. Attached is a link in case you want to try it.
