I have cisco 3640 router with multi T1 lines running BGP. I have many web servers running and i want to limit the bandwidth of of these webservers. Though there are many third party bandwidth management solutions, is there any thing that can be done in the Router itself specifying the maximum bandwith for individual webservers like for ip address 192.168.1.23 the maximum bandwidth it can use is 100k so that that machine will not choke the entire T1 bandwidth.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
