Bandwidth on Demand

We currently have a 256k link to our ISP for incoming connections from clients.

Our default route is currently the Internet connection.

We have peaks of usage at certain hours of the day.

We are considering using some sort of Bandwidth on demand connection to our ISP during these hours.

Any ideas as to what is a preferred method of accomplishing this.

Re: Bandwidth on Demand

You could go with a full T1 Frame-Relay connection with a CIR of 256 or lower. Many carriers will allow you to burst to line speed regardless of your CIR.
