Bandwidth statement?

How does the bandwidth statement affect static routes? (It is my understanding that the bandwidth statement functions as routing metric when using a routing protocol ie EIGRP.. but what is impacted when used with static routes?) (Is there even a need to include a bandwidth statement if not re-distributing into EIGRP?)

No impact on static routes.

On the second question: "Is there even a need to include a bandwidth statement if not re-distributing into EIGRP?"... If you mean on the interface, then no. If you mean on a redistribution command, then no. :-) For redistribution bandwidth would only be interesting to EIGRP (and IGRP, of course), but no other protocol would care.
