Banwidth Management

Hi,

I have cisco 3640 router with multi T1 lines running BGP. I have many web servers running and i want to limit the bandwidth of of these webservers. Though there are many third party bandwidth mangement solutions, is there any thing that can be done in the Router itself specifying the maximum bandwith for individual webservers like for ip address 192.168.1.23 the maximum bandwidth it can use is 100k so that that machine will not choke the entire T1 bandwidth.

Thanks in Advance

Re: Banwidth Management

It's called "commited access rate" or CAR. do a search on CCO for "configuring commited access rate" or "CAR configuration examples".

Re: Banwidth Management

Im pretty sure you can change the QoS for the specified interface.

Such as using CBWFQ, IP RTP, etc.
