Hi,
I just started as a network engeneer, and now I already have a problem that I cannot solve... Can anybody help me with the following :
We have 2 cisco routers (1600 series) and we need to switch the 128k leased line tot a 516k leased line ; this does not seem to be very easy for a beginner like me. What do I need to do? (commands?)
When I do sh S0 (after replacing cables), it tells me the line is up, but protocol is down...
Any help is appreciated
Thanks in advance

There should be a setting, if you do SH RUN, on S0 that says something like:
service-module t1 timeslots 1-2 speed 64
Change it to
service-module t1 timeslots 1-8 speed 64
(or whichever channels the telco provisioned for you)

Do a show service-module on your router. For a 128k circuit you should be showing 2 timeslots 1-2.
For a your new circuit you will need to increase the timeslots to 8.
config t
int s0
service-module t1 timeslots 1-8
this will increase your channels to 8. 8x64 being 512K
