BGP Aggregation with Community Set:

Hi,

Per se I've following scenario,

(AS 100) (AS 300) (AS 200)

RTR-A<=========>RTR-C<==========>RTR-B

(160.20.0.0/16 ) (160.10.0.0/16)

Note: RTR-C connected to RTR-D (AS 400)

Here RTR-C is aggregation router that advertise 16.0.0.0/8 to RTR-D. RTR-A sets "no-export" as its community.

Now if RTR-C to advertise to RTD-D, we need to say "community none" with route-map configured. At the same time it should satisfy the folowing

1. RTR-C should advertise AS200 alone, not AS-100 to RTR-D as no-export

set at AS-100.

2. RTR-C should advertise 160.0.0.0/8

Is that any wayout for seeing 300 (200), but 300 (100,200) in RTR-D.

Thanks,

Dinesh

Re: BGP Aggregation with Community Set:

Have a look at the advertise-map command in the following document, which happens to use the same exact scenario as your message. ;-)
