We are connected to 2 ISP's. All 3 of us have different AS's. We want to go thru a particular ISP to reach a specific AS when traffic is destined for that AS. How do we do this...? or do we have the ISP's change their router settings?
Thanks for your time.

Maybe your ISP can set MED for u or set something like weight by yourself.

If you have two ASBR's each connected to different ASs then you could set a Local Preference in your ASBRs.

hello,
after setting up the bgp session with them you may be getting prefixes from the ISPs. You can set weightage for the bgp sessions, so as to prefer a particular ISP for upllink.if not set,the path taken would be your default route or the best path that bgp selects by its own.

Ramesh

If you have to entry point in your AS from your ISPs then you can use local prefrence . Use route-map and define local prefrence for that particular AS for which you want to use particular ISP. And if you don't have two egrees point and both ISP coming to same router then you can use weight and define that AS which you want to reach from particular AS in route-map.
