BGP and EIGRP

I have a border router running BGP and I have 1 internal router that further distributes all traffic into my netwrok.

<p>

I would like to setup a secondary internal router and have it as a failover / hot-standby of the primary internal one. What protocols and where I should be turning them on ? and how do I integrate them with BGP on the border router ?

Re: BGP and EIGRP

All you need do is from the two internal router,

1.Run ibgp to your BGP AS router.

2.redistibute bgp into your IGP ( ripV2, eigrp or ospf)

3. Run hsrp on the two internal router.

The two routers now as a complete and the same view of the entire

network and the active HSRP router would be routing for all network till it fails and standby take over.

This shoudl help with your problem.
