Hi,
I need to know how it is possible to load balance traffic when using BGP between 3 AS's. I didn't think BGP would load balance anything but how would one accomplish this? At least per session/host connection...
Thanks,
Josh

Hi Josh,
We do egress load balancing to different ASs. I have a paper pending publication by Cisco press on this subject. If you tell me your email, I'll
send it to you.
Basically we block (see note below) incomming BGP routes, and send egree traffic (outbound Internet traffic) via multiple (same cost) default gateway statements. This provides equal cost egress traffic, regardless of the ingress traffic or hops. We have been running 2 and at times 3 different ISPs using this method for over 2 years now.
Note - If you have customers that need full BGP routes, their is a solution for this too (but it's not in my paper)...
Anyone else interested in an early copy of this paper, please let me know...
