BGP load balancing?

BGP's path selection is based on the BGP attributes, which start with the cisco's weight attribute and ends with the lowest ip BGP router id.

Is it nevertheless possible to perform load balancing between two BGP neighbors?

anything is possible.....it just depends on the level of complexity you are willing to deal with. Unfortunately, you don't provide enough information to provide any configuration advice....

I have two routers in AS x (Rx1 and Rx2) and two in AS y (Ry1 and Ry2). Rx1 is connected by E3 to Ry1 and Rx2 via E3 to Ry2.

Rx1 and Rx2 are interconnected via a iBGP network with multiple routers, likewise the case with Ry1 and Ry2......
