BGP peer-group questions

Hi, is it possible to reference a peer-group as defined under the general BGP configuration in the address-family configuration e.g.

router bgp 1

neighbor PEER peer-group

neighbor PEER remote-as 1

neighbor 1.1.1.1 peer-group PEER

neighbor 1.1.1.2 peer-group PEER

no auto-summary

!

address-family vpnv4

neighbor PEER activate

neighbor PEER send-community extended

Second question is whether I can define the members of the peer-group as route-reflector-client ?? e.g.

router bgp 1

neighbor PEER peer-group

neighbor PEER remote-as 1

neighbor PEER route-reflector-client

neighbor 1.1.1.1 peer-group PEER

neighbor 1.1.1.2 peer-group PEER

Thanks a lot,

Adam

Re: BGP peer-group questions

Yes, you should be able to do this, as long as the neighbors in the peer group are all internal neighbors. I only tried it with the remote as command attached to the peer group.

Re: BGP peer-group questions

Thanks for the reply. Was after a sanity check before trying on live equipment.

Cheers
