Blocking MAC address in eth port

Hi all

I need to know is ther any way to block mac address or particular ip address in the eth port of a router.

since we didnt config our switches at our remote locations with any ip.whn we face some probs like smurf attack we r forced to shut the whole eth port.so is ther any way to block some particular mac address (of pcs)in the eth port of the router which causes the problem?

If you want to filter by mac address, you might need to set up transparent bridging on the router. Check this link out..
