i want to block piolet (File Sharing Program)

which uses a range of ports 10240 to 20480

how can i block the port range?

What Cisco platform do you have? I have seen customers use NBAR to block similar file sharing programs such as Kazaa

Note that not all platforms support NBAR

i am using cisco 805 IOS 12.1(3)

800 series does not support NBAR. You'll need atleast a 1700 series router to support NBAR. Feature navigator should help
