I have two sites connected with a t1 and 1720 routers, I was considering getting another t1 and bonding the lines. Is there anything that needs to be done on the part of the phone co. or can I just configure the lines to work as one with two wic's on weach end?
You can use PPP Multilink with no problem, assuming that the telco uses the same T1 equipment to connect both T1s or you provide clocking.
Problems arise when the telco connects you to two (or more) different T1 switches on their side and also provides the clock. You can get clock drift (slip seconds) that will show as errors on your serial controller. This is most common when two T1s are provided by two different carriers.
