BOOTSYS

HI

I NEED TO UPDATE THE IOS IMAGE TO THE NEW ONE"c3560-ipservicesk9-mz.122-25.SEB4.bin" FROM THE TFTP SERVER VIA THE BOOTSYS COMMAND NOT LIKE COPY TFTP FLASH.WHAT IS THE FULL COMMAND?

Hi Ali,

AFAIK this command is only used to set the boot path for the image in the flash or network.

You can use boot system command to boot your switch directly from tftp server but that will not copy the image into flash of the switch but it will directly load the image into DRAM.

Hi Ali,

Somwhow I believe it is best to have the image copied to the on board flash and then set the boot path to boot image from flash.

Use copy tftp flash command to copy the image to flash and later set the boot oath for the new image.
