bri status

i`ve the following problem:

i`ve configured to bri-interface in a dialer interface how you can see

below.

interface BRI1/0

description MSN

no ip address

encapsulation ppp

dialer pool-member 1

isdn switch-type basic-net3

ppp authentication chap

ppp multilink

no ip address

when i do open a connection over isdn, it doesn`t work.

the status of the bri`s are :

ISDN BRI1/0 interface

dsl 8, interface ISDN Switchtype = basic-net3

Layer 1 Status:

ACTIVE

Layer 2 Status:

TEI = 93, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = TEI_ASSIGNED <<<<< no multiple

Layer 3 Status:

0 Active Layer 3 Call(s)

Active dsl 8 CCBs = 0

The Free Channel Mask: 0x3

Number of L2 Discards = 0, L2 Session ID = 15

ISDN BRI1/1 interface

dsl 9, interface ISDN Switchtype = basic-net3

Layer 1 Status:

ACTIVE

Layer 2 Status:

TEI = 82, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = TEI_ASSIGNED <<<<< no multiple

Layer 3 Status:

0 Active Layer 3 Call(s)

Active dsl 9 CCBs = 0

The Free Channel Mask: 0x3

Number of L2 Discards = 0, L2 Session ID = 15

when i clear the interfaces, the status changes on:

ISDN BRI1/0 interface

dsl 8, interface ISDN Switchtype = basic-net3

Layer 1 Status:

ACTIVE

Layer 2 Status:

TEI = 94, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED

Layer 3 Status:

0 Active Layer 3 Call(s)

Active dsl 8 CCBs = 0

The Free Channel Mask: 0x80000003

Number of L2 Discards = 0, L2 Session ID = 18

ISDN BRI1/1 interface

dsl 9, interface ISDN Switchtype = basic-net3

Layer 1 Status:

ACTIVE

Layer 2 Status:

TEI = 83, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED

Layer 3 Status:

0 Active Layer 3 Call(s)

Active dsl 9 CCBs = 0

The Free Channel Mask: 0x80000003

Number of L2 Discards = 0, L2 Session ID = 18

after i clear the interfaces, the connection works fine but when i close the connection

again, the layer 2 status of the interfaces are no multple again and the next trial dosn`t

work

my ios version is Version 12.2(5d).

You should have a look at

q921> to see what happens when the connection

is terminated; it looks like the ISDN

network is removing the TEI assignment.

This often happens by design in Europe, which

is what the command

if for; it causes us to negotiate the

TEI for each new call.
