BRI with isdn answer1 configured does not answer calls

Hi all together,

Ive got a problem with a 2600 IOS 12.2(5a). Two BRIs are connected to the same S0. I want one Interface answer to one ISDN number, the other to annother ISDN number. If I configure isdn answer1 on a interface, the interface does not reply to any call any more.

Here comes the config of the interface

Can you paste the rest of the debug output, inorder to determine, what is happening ??

Are you having one BRI port or 2 BRI ports ???

On the same interface, you have to configure, ISDN answer1 and answer2, so that first call goes to channel 1 while second goes to channel 2.

Or have you tied up both the interfaces, to use 2 numbers for each interface.

there is no more debug output. On the calling router (

There are more interfaces, but no other interface is (in this configuration but not in the one I'm hading for) is connected to the same S0 bus. This configuration works fine without the isdn answer1 statement. But as soon as I add the ISDN answer1 statement, the router does not accept any call. It does not even reject the call as it does with a call sreened by the "isdn caller" statement.

I've been trying a lot of diefferent numbers, including any number of x's between 1 and 11 (e. g. isdn answer1 xxxxxx). I've also tried to configure both answer1 and answer2, but I could not make the router accept any calls.

This is likely CSCdv31248, fixed in 12.2(6) and later code.
