Bridging Question? Where do I point the gateway?

Quick question here.

If I bridge a network using two 1721 routers do I still need to point the PC's gateway at the router?

I ask since the PC's current gateway is pointing towards a DSL modem that provides the internet access.

If you have disabled IP routing, ie 'no ip routing' on the router, then you can bridge all your IP traffic and you do not need a gateway configured in the PC to access any device in the bridged environment.

If however, you want the PC to be able to access devices external to the bridged environment, then you must point them to a device on the bridged environment that is acting as a gateway.

I have disabled ip routing, however I do need to use the

"bridge 1 bridge IP" command right?

Thanks again, your advice has been invaluable.
