Hi,
I did an firmware update on a 2960-X switch, as I had done in others of the same model previously, when the equipment did reload a " brom> " prompt appeared, how can I solve the problem ?? Is it a hardware problem?

99.99% likely it has a hardware fault. If you have a Cisco maintenance contract, like SmartNet, contact Cisco to get the switch replaced.
