Re: bundled frame-relay IGX ports

The data sheets for the product available here http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/browse/psp_view.pl?p=Hardware:IGX_8400& viewall=true might have an answer to your question. Or, your local Cisco sales office should be able to provide you with the details.

Re: bundled frame-relay IGX ports

Its possible to bundle UXM ports using an IMA (Inverse Multiplexing over ATM) in IGX.

The UFM modules are a standalone 2 MBps V.35 ports.

Each port will connect to one port of the router. You can use these two links only seperately for two different PVC's.

You cannot bundle these two links (into a multilink) and form a single PVC to the destination , (because FR is enabled on the physical interfaces and not in logical interface).

Re: bundled frame-relay IGX ports

I knew about the IMA trunks and the two separate pvcs.

I was just wondering if i was missing something..

Thanks,

George.

Re: bundled frame-relay IGX ports

Two seperate PVC's to the same location is almost equal to bundling the interfaces. Use two different DLCI's on the edge and switch it onto the same destination..

any comments ??

Re: bundled frame-relay IGX ports

Hi George,

Are you talking about creating Frame relay PVC more than 2 MB. If you want that.. You can use HSSI back card to have provision that..
