Byte-count for Custom queueing.

Can someone explain how to configure byte-count for Custom queueing.

If I were to assign 10% of total bandwidth of Ethernet to ftp traffic and 20% to www. Rest should go to the default queue.

Thanks

Re: Byte-count for Custom queueing.

! first you must set your ACL to permit traffic from source to destination:

access-list 101 permit ip any any

! set your byte-counts (depends on your link speed)

queue-list 101 queue 1 byte-count (put 10% here)

queue-list 101 queue 2 byte-count (put 20% here)

queue-list 101 queue 3 byte-count (put 70% here)

! assign your traffic types to each queue

queue-list 101 protocol ip 1 tcp 21

queue-list 101 protocol ip 2 tcp 80

queue-list 101 default 3

! assign to interface

interface serial 0

custom-queue-list 101

! alternatively you can assign ACLs to filter each protocol, and link the queues

! to the ACLs

access-list 101 permit ip any any ftp

access-list 102 permit ip any any www

access-list 103 permit ip any any

queue-list 1 protocol ip 1 list 101

queue-list 2 protocol ip 2 list 102

queue-list 3 default 3

hope this helps!

D.
