c2600 12.2(5a) best way to copy tftp to flash

When copy tftp to flash, the system error msg appears "not enough space on device"

It does not prompt you to overwrite existing flash.

What is the best way to copy a new file to the flash?

Using the procedure you are is the best way to copy to flash.

When the image fits, you are always promted to delete existing files.

Appearently this image is too large to fit in flash, even if it is empty.

Please confirm this by comparing file & flash size.

You know that this will mean that you need to upgrade your flash.
