Cable Needed?

We have a 2948G and a 2950 that we want to connect. The 2984G already has one of the uplink ports in use.

What cable and/or adapters do we need to link these two switches?

Re: Cable Needed?

You can use a crossover cable. Take a look at the following document regarding connectors and cables for the 2950.

Hope this helps.

Re: Cable Needed?

Since you used the word "uplink", I am assuming you want to connect the 2 switches via fiber using GBICs. You can use 1000BaseSX GBICs(Part number WS-G5484) if the switches are close to each other. You will need Multimode fiber cable with SC-SC connectors.
