can 3560 be stacked with 3550

Are 3550 and 3560 compatible as far as the stacked hardware configuration

is concerned?

Cisco 3550 & Cisco 3560 doesn't hav stacking ports, Cisco 3750 is the 1st switch to have stacking ports in-built which has 32Gbps stacking capibility.

If you are talking about the stackable management cable, then only the 3700s have the stackable technology (for now). If you are just wanting to trunk, then yes they will work.

Can we use a mixture of 3550 and 3560 in a daisy chain. What i mean is if i want to connect 4 switches in a daisy chain can two of them be 3550's and the other two be 3560's.

The answer is yes , its really no different than a 3550 just newer hardware with faster routing and switching capability...
