Can a 827 router use a T1 or is the 1600 series the minimum?

My company has been asked to get a 827 router and a PIX 506 for a VPN solution. These are what they are using at the far end, but with DSL.

I do not think the 827 can be used with a T1, which is what the client is getting installed at this end. I think the 1600 series is the minimum to use with a T1. Can anybody please confirm or correct me?

The only non-LAN interface on an 827 is

the ADSL interface, which supports

ADSL speeds: Downstream speed range: 32

to 8032 kbps. Upstream speed range: 32

to 864 kbps.

If you are not looking for a DSL termination,

but instead want a T1 serial link, then

you should consider the 1600 or 1700 as

a start.
