Can a cisco router tunnel async data over frame relay
I have a situation where a customer had PPP over direct serial connections. 3 remote sites going to a head end, all rs232 flavor. The head end has 3 serial ports on an Unix server. Each port is directly mapped to the remotes over a 56K circuit, point to point. Problem:
The customer wants to use frame relay to push the async data across. The serial ports at the remote sites are connected to a controller (not IBM) and dumb terminals hang off the controller.
Can we tunnel this? Is there a URL to map frame to a specific async port. Help appreciated.
