Can CRB or IRB be used just for specific protocol?

Hi all,

Can two interfaces in 1 router be bridged when using appletalk but act as normal routing interface when using IP ? Thank you!

Best Regards

Yes, you can - though the function is best expressed as "Route IP, bridge everything else."

I believe the command to set this up has you specify which protocols will be routed, and everything else is bridged.

I suppose if you only wanted to route IP, and bridge only Appletalk, you have to configure the router to route every protocol on your wire (for the protocols you want blocked, route them to Null) then bridge Appletalk.

Good Luck

Scott
