I have a Catalyst 3550-24-SMI and a 3620 router. I want to have good throughput etween the switch and the router so I can install more fastethernet ports in the 3620. My question is can I configure a FEC (Fast Ether Channel) between the switch and the router and assign only one IP address to the FEC port in the router?

The 3600 series routers do not support FEC. If you have a 7200/7500, you can do this

And if I had a 7204VXR router, how should I do the FEC with the 3550?
