Can I insert a new module in a running Cisco3660?

Hi,

I want a platform which is high available and which is expandable without any power-off or reload.

I read that the Cisco3660 can OIR (online insertion and removal), but I am not sure this means that I can insert a new card into an empty slot so that I can maybe add 4 extra sync-serial ports (NM-4T) to my running system.

If it is not possible which platform do I need for that?

Reason: I cannot stop my network for any additional customer.

Regards,

Chris

OIR is what you need.

Personally didn't know the 3660 was one of them.

The most used for this are the 7200, 7500, 7600, and GSR.
