Can I setup ISDN Dial backup at speeds greater than 128k?
I have a couple of 7513s with PRI circuits that I use for 128k dial backup to remote sites with 1720s and BRI cards. On a few of these sites, I need to have 256k (or better) dial backup. I am currently using dialer profiles and would like to know if this is possible and if so what hardware and configuration would I need (e.g., would another BRI card suffice in the 1720 or would I need to put a PRI card in?). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Adding another BRI interface and adding its line(s) to the dialer pool should do the job. Eventually you will need to worry about link allocation, Multi-chassis MLPPP, and other exotica, but the basics of a 4 B-channel vs 2 B-channel dialer profile are identical. Just keep in mind that dialer pool minimums and maximums only apply to calls being placed and do not control incoming calls.
