Can i take SFM2 out from my 6500 core

Hi,

I have two core 6500 switches pls see the below commands

the traffic is always like this is it recommended to take out SFM2 from the switch as there is no as such load on the switch . What is the rough cost of this SFM2 module ...

Hi Sandeep,

This module is fabric only module which works on 256 GBPS. Its has to have SFM2, without SFM it will not work.

Hi Sandeep,

No for below ones you dont need SFM. they can work with or without SFM. That's why SFM capable is mentioned. these module are fabric enabled that means that hey cna work both on 32 BGPS and 256 GBPS if SFM is provided.

This module is fabric only module which works on 256 GBPS. Its has to have SFM2, without SFM it will not work.
