Can someone pls help on ospf?

Hi, I post this message some days ago, but not sovled. below is the conversation made:

OSPF area 0 route summarization

Hi, I found that for the ospf backbone area route summarizaiton, when I use "area 0 range 10.1.0.0 255.255.0.0", it seems not working, the route 10.1.0.0 is not being advertised at all. Any idea on this? Thank you.

use wild card bits in your mask

netmask is correct here. should not be wild card mask.

Hello Fujin,

there are a couple of points that I could suggest:

i) make sure that the area id that you specify in the area xx range command, is the area containing the networks that are to be summarized.

ii) in order to advertise the summary route, there must be at least 1 route present in the ip forwarding table that falls within the summary range.
