Can't flush DM

Hi All

Does anybody know what this error message means:

Can't flush DM 1 queues 58, status FFA70000 mode FFA7A7FF

I get it on a 2924, running IOS version 12.0(5)WC9.

The switch gets itself in a total spin because of this. Its management interface stays up, but the ports (bar the uplink) stops forwarding traffic.

I can still connect to it, but it requires a reboot in order for it to start working again.

Any thoughts?

Regards

Connie

Re: Can't flush DM

Seems that you would need to upgrade.

From the bug-tool:

It seems to occur when spanning tree is disabled, and ports are set to half-duplex

This bug seems related to: CSCdm84300 and CSCdp04873

This seems to be the Frame Invalid scenario.

Fixed in 12.0(5.1)XP.

Re: Can't flush DM

Any idea where I can find version 12.0(5.1)XP? The latest version I can get from Csico is version 12.0.5-WC9 (ED)...

Re: Can't flush DM

Oh, sorry - it seems like that bug should be fixed in all releases after 12.0(5)WC5.

As last resort you could consider to enable spanning-tree since that bug was only with half/duplex ports and disabled spanning-tree. But perhaps you triggered another bug...

Re: Can't flush DM

Spanning tree is enabled, and we do not have any loops in our network anyway. Seems I'll have to be patient and wait for a new release...

Thanks for the help ;-)
