I have got two routers at Loc A and Loc B . Both of them were working fine. Recently I find problem in my one of the router say Loc A, as the PING response of Loc A router ( IP address of serial links or fastethernet or

loopback) from Loc B router is extremely poor. However PING

response from Loc B router to any other device connected to LAN of

Loc A is very good. Similarly the PING response from Loc A router

to IP address of Loc B Router is very poor but PING response from any

other device connected to Loc A LAN to IP address of Loc B router

is very good.

I had a problem kind of like this before. Basically my two devices were both connected to the internet, and if i tried to ping from DeviceB to DeviceA, the packets were going through LAN, but when i tried to ping form A to B the packets were going through the internet. If that is the case your case, than you could try to play with metrics of igp to make packets change paths.
