Can WS-C2950C-24 be interfaced to 8BASE100FX Module in IBM 8275-322 Switch

Hi,

My customer has an IBM 8275-322 Switch with a 8BASE100FX Module.

He wants to purchase two Cisco switches which need be interfaced to above.

I wish to know if the two fiber uplinks [100BASEFX] of WS-C2950C-24 are compatible with ports of 8BASE100FX of 8275-322. If not kindly suggest an alternate Cisco Switch that work with IBM 8275-322.

Ravinda,

As long as the IBM 8275-322 follows the IEEE 802 spec you'll be fine, which I assume it does. The 2950C-24 will work for your customer due to it's port configuration (24 10/100 ports and two fixed 100BASE-FX uplink ports )
