Can you add a ip address to Vlan 2 on cat 2900 switch

I need to add an ip address to vlan 2 on a cat switch 2900 the default vlan 1 has a address already configure but i need to add a different ip address to vlan 2. Can this be done?

You cannot have 2 VLAN interfaces up/up in an XL/2950 switch at the same time

Thanks, I found some documents on it, i had forgotten that it is a layer 2 switch only.

Certainly - simply create a virtual interface for VLAN 2 - once the new interface created you can treat it just like any VLAN interface (use the same syntax for VLAN 1 except swap the 1 with a 2)

on a cat2900XL switch, you can only have one management/VLAN interface UP at any time. Thus, if you want to use interface VLAN2, you will have to shutdown interface VLAN1 and vice-versa.
