can you control the link speed of a sfp module?

on the 3750 you can have sfp fiber modules. i have some 3com switches but they can only do 100mbps can i configure the sfp ports to only do 100mbps? thanks!

to my best knowledge this is not possible, here is what Cisco says:

SFPs can be used and interchanged on a wide variety of Cisco products and can be intermixed in combinations of IEEE 802.3z- compliant 1000BaseSX, 1000BaseLX/LH, or 1000BaseZX interfaces on a port-by-port basis.
