Cannot change configuration register setting on a 3660 router

I recently noticed the configuration register setting for one of my 3660 routers is 0x3922 and I am unable to change it using the config-register command. Among other things, this setting equates to a console port speed of 115200 which I learned through trial and error.

Can anyone offer a tip or information as why I am unable to change this?

I assume by you saying you can't change it config-register 0x2102 didn't work.

To change speed and confreg reboot into rommon by pressing break sequence (http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/701/61.html) and follow these instructions:

You are correct Steve. I cannot change it using config-register 0x2102. I will try your suggestion as soon as I can get the downtime.
