Hoping someone can point me in the right direction here... I have a 2501 router (second-hand) with IOS 11.1 (18). When I try to configure any command containing the word IPX, I get an "invalid input at X" message. A "show ip?" privileged or "IP?" global config command does not list any IPX options. Similar results searching for help on "Novell".
I have searched the Cisco knowledge base, but everything tells me that IPX commands are available on this version of IOS. Am I missing something here, or is it possible that some versions of IOS prohibit IPX configuration?
Thanks for any replies!

Hi, just to be sure, what's the exact IOS image name?
It should look something like:
"igs-in-l.111-18.bin" (IOS with IP and IPX feature set)
"igs-inr-l.111-18.bin" (IOS with IP, IPX and IBM feature set)
"igs-j-l.111-18.bin" (IOS Enterprise version)
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your informative reply!
The file name in Flash is igs-i-1.111-18. I'm guessing that this particular version does not support IPX. I am going to search the knowledge base again to learn more about the filename identifiers, but it looks like I will have to obtain another image before using IPX.
Thanks again!
