Cannot see systems on Host LAN

Guess I am missing something very basic but it seems that on several of my networks remote site systems cannot systems (NT and 2000 Servers) located on the Central Office LAN. I have implemented OSPF and this does not seem to help.

Equipment is mostly Cisco 1600 & 1700's or 2600's at the host. Networks are both frame and p-t-p.

Any sugestions?

Can you ping by IP? How about by name? How are the systems at the remote sites getting their WINS information? Can you do a \\ipaddress or a \\name and get to the servers?

I cannot ping by address or name. WINS servers are not defined on all branch systems but we can not see them anyway. I can see other routers on the central LAN and the UNIX system.
