Cannot telnet to device from CiscoView, but can from server?

On the device in question I have permitted the CW2K server IP address and now I can telnet directly from the CW2K server to the device. However, I cannot telnet to the device from CiscoView (which is running on the same server/same IP of course). When I remove the ACL from the device I can telnet from CiscoView successfully?? What do I need to specify in the device ACL other than allowing the CW2K server IP address in?

Does anybody have any ideas?

Cheers,

Paul

If you're using the telnet feature within CV, then it's invoked from the client and not from the server. So, if you have an ACL on the device, you need to allow the client to access that as well.
