cat 4006 error in sh epc status

my cat 4006 got hanged . when taking the sh tech support i found the following. and after restarting it showed ok. given below is sh epc status before and after restart.

Before restart *****

Status of GigabitEthernet1: OK

Status of GigabitEthernet2: OK

Status of GigabitEthernet3: OK

Status of GigabitEthernet4: not OK - aborting this command

After Restart *****

B_4006_L3#sh epc status

Status of GigabitEthernet1: OK

Status of GigabitEthernet2: OK

Status of GigabitEthernet3: OK

Status of GigabitEthernet4: OK

can any one explain..

It normally indicates bad hardware but looks like it came back in your case. Make sure the card is seated firmly and if it happens again, open a TAC case

suspecting the problem with the RSM module.

RMA raised.

replaced the RSM card. network performing normal.
