We have a Cisco 7120 with a routed LAN to LAN connection with our Carrier Bandwith (Colt) and we use encapsulation ISL .. then we have our Switch 3548 and 3508 and connected to them we have 7 switch 3524 .
We also use VLANs ..
Recently we bought a 4006 with supervisor Engine III for the replacement of The 3548 and 3508 ..
MY question is : Is it possible to use Cat4006 in place of the router 7120 ..
Is it possible to configure on it a routed LAN TO LAN link . ??
Yes if you are looking for only routed lan to lan connection can be configured on the cat4006 and it can replace 7120. Just to let you there is no wan interfaces (serial, atm etc) at this point on cat4006 switch.
